Jack Bloome is so excited to be performing in his favorite musical Bright Star! After seeing it at The Curran Theater in 2017 he knew it was one of his bucket list shows. He wants to thank his mother for taking him to it and for all of her support. Previous roles include Charlie in Kinky Boots at CMT Marquee, Danny in Grease at Cabrillo Stage, and next year he will be playing Shakespeare in Something Rotten with CMT Marquee. Jack specifically wants to thank his incredible costar Katie for her kindness and her talent and he is so grateful to be sharing this experience with her. Enjoy the show and shine on.
Katherine Bonn is so grateful to be making her Woodside Musical Theater debut in Bright Star! She has most recently been seen in PAP's School of Rock, CS’s Grease as Marty, and CMT Marquee’s Kinky Boots as Lauren. Coming up in December you can catch her flying into the role of Mary in CMT Marquee’s Mary Poppins. She is so grateful for her friends and family for their unwavering love and support, and dedicates this performance to her Aunt Janie, who never missed a performance. Special thanks to Jason and Jack for being their friend and best happy little family a girl could ask for.
Annalise Bowman is thrilled to make her first appearance with WMT! Some of her favorite roles include Susan in Woodside High School’s production of Stagedoor, Ophelia in PVTC’s production of Hamlet, and Milicent in SCCT’s production of Return to Oz. She has loved working on Bright Star and hopes you enjoy the show!
After years of performing around the East Bay, Christine Burke is ecstatic to debut with the WMT team. Christine was last seen carryin’ the banner in Woodminster Summer Musicals’ production of Newsies and enchanting audiences in the Peter Pan Foundation’s benefit musical Wish Upon A Star. 2022 brought the role of a lifetime when she was crowned Ms. Wheelchair America 2022 and had the chance to use her voice, advocating to put disability back in diversity.
Lizzie Chapman is very excited to be returning to WMT, after participating in Spamalot in 2019. Other acting credits include Spamalot (Sir Robin), Avenue Q (Bad Idea Bear) and Death of A Salesman (Miss Forsythe) at CRT, Much Ado About Nothing (Hero), Heathers: The Musical (Featured Ensemble), and City of Angels (Margaret/Bootsie) at PSP and Hello Dolly (Ermengarde) and Evita (Mistress US) at FRT. Choreography credits include The Music Man (PSP), Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (BurlPres), Young Frankenstein (HSU) as well as countless youth shows with Spindrift School of Performing Arts. Lizzie's choreographic works in college also received acclaim, most notably the award-winning "story of a girl" and "Innermost Secrets". Lizzie currently works at PVTC as their Community Engagement Coordinator. In her (limited) spare time, she loves reading, "hot girl walks", pasta and making dad jokes. IG: @lizziechapstik
Kara Clapp Connelly is delighted to have the opportunity to make her third appearance as an ensemble role in WMT's Bright Star. Her previous roles and productions include a lead factory singer in RCCT’s Kinky Boots, various ensemble roles in SONE’s Sister Act, Belle and Isabelle in CRT's A Christmas Carol, ensemble roles in WMT's Spamalot and My Fair Lady. She loves her theatre family and is performing in Hillbarn’s Elf this winter!
Allie Cotugno (Lucy) is grateful to return to Woodside Musical Theatre after appearing as Lily St. Regis in the company’s 2017 production of Annie. Other favorite roles include Doralee Rhodes in 9 to 5 (FMC), Cinderella in Into the Woods (LASC), Sherrie Christian in Rock of Ages (SONE), and Blanche Barrow in Bonnie and Clyde (SONE). She’d like to thank her husband for his unwavering support and for a last name no one can pronounce.
Jason Engleman is thrilled to make his first appearance with WMT! Some of his favorite past roles include Frederic in Stanford Savoyards’ Pirates of Penzance and Big Deal in SONE’s West Side Story. Jason is a graduate of Stanford University where he was a member of the Fleet Street Singers. Behind the scenes, Jason is the founder of StageAgent.com, a website that helps theater artists research shows, improve their craft and discover audition opportunities.
Alyssa Harrison is excited to perform in Bright Star with Woodside Musical Theatre! Her background is in modern dance with organizations such as Texas Tech University’s School of Theater and Dance, the American College Dance Association, the American Dance Festival, and Sonoma State University. She joined the beautiful world of musical theater in the Mountain Play Association’s 2022 production of Hello, Dolly! Cheers to the amazing administrators, artists, and patrons for creating this incredible experience!
Adrienne Herro is thrilled to be performing in her third musical with Woodside Musical Theatre after previously being seen as Velma Kelly in Chicago and Mother in Ragtime.
Regional credits include: Donna Sheridan (Mamma Mia!), Fierce Protector (Mama Dragons staged reading), Dolores (The Wild Party), Courtesan Ancestor (The Addams Family), The Woman (Death of a Salesman) - SJSC; Mrs. Cratchitt (Scrooge in Love), featured dancer/ensemble (Carnival) - FSSM; Marie Dindon (La Cage Aux Folles) - SFP.
Other favorite roles include: Amy in Company, Virtue in Anything Goes, the Pretzel in The Producers, and the Strawberry Seller in Oliver! (BBB). Adrienne is a local Redwood City resident where she is a wife, mom of three, and the Queen Mum to two dapper Corgis. Enjoy the Show!
Kenzie Macdonald is thrilled to be making her first appearance in a WMT production and on stage since the pandemic! Past roles include Chloe in Be More Chill and a Hipster in Island Song (Vanderbilt University). She would like to give a special thanks to her roommate Taylor for not complaining about her loud singing voice and to her parents for giving her the confidence to get back on stage.
Rebecca Mayfield is very excited to make her debut with Woodside Musical Theatre as Florence and ensemble in this production of Bright Star after a ten year break from performing. She previously preformed in HBT's productions of Holes and The Producers and PAP's Legally Blonde. Joey Montes is happy to be back at Woodside Musical Theatre after appearing as Patsy in Spamalot in 2019. Favorite roles include Ali Hakim in Oklahoma and Clarence in A Wonderful Life with HBT. Thanks to my teachers Berle Davis and Jane Zaban, Mildred Owen and Jeannette Sacco-Belli for giving me the gift of your talent and experience. Jason Mooney is pleased as punch to be in his first show with Woodside Musical Theatre! DArtagnan Riviera is pleased to make his debut at WMT. He was recently seen at Sonoma Arts Live in Ain’t Misbehavin’ and as Booth in TopDo/Underdog at Main Stage West. Much thanks to Gary, Joan, Brenda and the rest of the amazing cast and crew of Bright Star.
Jepoy Ramos is a Software Validation Engineer and an active member of the Bay Area theatre community. He has worked as an Actor, Producer, Director, Playwright, Production / Stage Manager, and Crew for various Theatre companies including Bay Area Musicals, Bindlestiff Studios, Hillbarn Theatre, Landmark Musical Theatre, Palo Alto Players, Ray of Light Theatre, and many others. He is a proud member of the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle. In his limited spare time, you can see Jepoy teaching fitness at F45 Studio in San Bruno, running multiple Spartan Races all over the US, or traveling to different cities around the world. Ava Ricci is very excited to be returning for her second performance with WMT. Her last role with WMT was as Molly in Annie 2017. She has also been ensemble in The Wiz with SCP. Other musicals she has been in include A Little Night Music, Once Upon A Mattress, and Honk. She loves rehearsals for Bright Star and would like to thank her Dad for always supporting her and driving her to rehearsals.
Jessica Ross is thrilled to rediscover her bright star alongside the incredible company of Woodside Musical Theatre after a long hiatus - save for a few cameos in her middle school students' productions (whom she teaches never to use a comma to join two independent clauses!). Favorite roles from an earlier era include Sandy in Grease and Grace in Annie. Shout out to The Girls, Z, family, friends, Hawks, and the entire Bright Star team for this opportunity. Michele Schroeder is thrilled to make her debut as Margo with Woodside Musical Theatre alongside such a phenomenal cast and crew. Since receiving her Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice from SFSU, Michele’s performances have ranged from operatic works such as: Phoebe Meryll (Yeomen of the Guard), Pizzi (The new Mikado), Edith (Pirates of Penzance), and Paquette (Candide), with LMT -- to musical theatre, playing Miss Amelia (A Little Princess) with BP.
Kaeli Shaw is a performer from San Francisco, California. She is very passionate about theatre and has played numerous roles in local productions including Baker's Wife from Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods and Inga in Young Frankenstein. Kaeli attended Ruth Asawa School of The Arts for musical theater and has trained for over ten years in a wide range of dance styles such as jazz, tap, modern and ballet at Alonzo King Lines Dance Center. Kaeli has been singing from a very young age and is also classically trained having participated in choirs, a cappella groups and private lessons. She prefers solo work and has most experience singing musical theatre and jazz. She also has studied traditional acting methods during her time in art school and has experience with improv and playwriting. In her free time Kaeli loves to cook, travel and do yoga. She also creates and sings her own music.
Kenny Silberberg is thrilled to be in his second show with WMT as "Stanford." Bright Star is Kenny's 6th public performance during Covid. Main roles include Ludwig Cabaret, Dr. Wilson/MacGregor Towards Zero, Graffiti Pete In The Heights, and TJ Sister Act. Next year in May, Kenny will be in Evita as Magaldi's understudy.
Catherine Stahl is delighted to be making her WMT debut! She most recently performed in the Mamma Mia ensemble at RCCT. Catherine is a graduate of Xavier University where she played Paquette in Candide and was part of the university’s eight-member sacred music ensemble, Schola Cantorum. Catherine is the Senior Development Director for Girls Leadership, a national nonprofit that teaches girls to exercise the power of their voice. She thanks her family for their support!
John Tondino (Daddy Cane) is blessed to be in his 12th production with WMT. He’s been cast in several musicals for RCCT and LT in the years prior to the pandemic. He is absolutely thrilled to be back in the theater with this excellent cast and crew for this wonderful show. He knows you will be grateful you came!
Paul Wendt is excited to be singing in his first show with WMT! He is somewhat of a musical junkie, and loves to sing at every possible opportunity. He sings in multiple choral groups currently including San Jose Symphonic Choir and Serenade. Also in Gilbert & Sullivan with Lyric Theatre and Stanford Savoyards, and operas with West Bay Opera. Past musicals include Oklahoma!, Man of La Mancha, and Sweeney Todd with Lyric, Masterworks, and Redwood Symphony. When not singing, his favorite activities in retirement are watching video with his wife, and cycling with his friends in Western Wheelers Bicycle Club.
Mark Wong (Max, understudy Jimmy) is exhilarated to be in his second musical theatre show after performing in Woodside Musical Theatre's 2019 production of Spamalot. He was recently in SJSU's double-billed opera production, appearing as one of the Counsels in Trial by Jury and covering the role of Alberto in La Curandera.
Burke Trieschmann (banjo and guitar) is a multi-instrumentalist, performing musician, and audio producer. He has been performing music for theater productions, and other music venues in the Bay Area for many years. He recently performed with the orchestra for BRT’s production of Swept Away. His Production Company Open Door Productions, provides original music composition and recording services for a variety of media. Bright Star is his first performance for WMT.
